Lakki Marwat's Walls Wrapped Up With Political Banners, Posters

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jul, 2018 ) :After each passing day the buildings in Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being wrapped up with political flags, posters and pana-flex of different political parties and candidates ahead of general elections 2018 scheduled for July 25.
A tough competition is being expected between MMA and PTI in NA-36 as the constituency would witness head to head contest between Mutahida Majlis Amal's (MMA) candidate Maulana Muhammad Anwar and PTI candidate Ishfaq Ahmad Khan Minakhel besides 19 other candidates. Posters have been displayed on walls, trees and vehicles by their supporters.
The Election Commission of Pakistan sources said that 421,224 votes have been registered for the constituency among which 236,162 for male and 185,062 votes have been registered for female.
As many as 394 polling stations including 109 combined for both male and female voters, 149 male polling stations and 136 female polling stations have been set up besides 1240 polling booths.
The supporters of MMA and PTI candidates were being witnessed visiting houses and bazaars to convince people to cast vote for their parties. Meanwhile the young workers of political parties were seen carrying their party flags and wearing capes on motorbikes in streets and on roads.
It is worth mentioning here that a total 58 candidates were contesting for three provincial seats from same constituency.
Some 17 candidates were contesting elections on tickets of differentpolitical parties and as Independents candidates from PK-91, 20 from PK-92 and21 from PK-93.
