Land Acquisition For Allama Iqbal Industrial City To Start This Year

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jan, 2019 ) ::The state-of-the-art Allama Iqbal Industrial City is being established to accelerate industrial activities and land acquisition process for this project would be started in current financial year.

This was stated by the spokesman of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) while talking to APP here on Sunday. He said that the government had already sanctioned Rs 6.3 billion for this mega project which will spur industrial activities in this industrial city.

He said that this project is adjacent to the existing Special Economic Zone of M-3 Industrial Estate and located in close proximity with Sahianwala Interchange of Motorway (M-3).

This industrial city will house textile, steel, pharmaceuticals, engineering, chemicals, food processing, plastics and agricultural appliances units.

"It is sprawling over approximately 3,000 acres of land and will be a part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)", he said, adding that the government is also expecting that Chinese will establish new units in this city as well as relocation of their industrial units from China.
