Landing Rights For Two Children TV Channels Approved

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Thursday approved landing right permissions for two foreign channels in children category.
The PEMRA's meeting held here at its headquarters granted landing right permissions to Standard Services (Pvt.) Limited, Lahore for foreign satellite tv channel "E-1" and Bells Entertainment (Pvt) Ltd Lahore for foreign satellite TV channel "Minimax" both under the children category.
PEMRA was also apprised on progress regarding registration of companies for Television Audience Management (TAM) services, as per TAM Regulations 2018, a press release said.
�It was briefed that out of ten companies that have applied, five companies have been provisionally registered with PEMRA so far.
Chairman PEMRA Muhammad Saleem Baig presided over the meeting while Secretary Information and Broadcasting, Shafqat Jalil; Chairman PTA Muhammad Naveed and other members including Nargis Nasir, Member Punjab, Shaheen Habibullah, Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sarfaraz Khan Jatoi Member Sindh, and Ashfaq Jumani, Executive Member PEMRA were also present in the meeting.
