Lesco says the power supply will be restored as soon as the weather turns normal
LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-23rd April 2019) Late night high-velocity winds in Punjab’s capital disrupted electricity supply to many areas for hours.
The electricity consumers in different areas of the city remain without electricity for hours besides there were frequent power cuts and tripping.
The spokesman of Lahore Electric Supply Company, which is already facing 30 percent electricity demand and supply gap, claimed that electricity will restore as soon as the weather turned into normal.
Meanwhile, countrywide power distribution companies are conducting four to six hours load shedding in their urban and rural limits. The national grid is facing 3,000MW shortfall as demand is hovering around 18,000MW against the overall generation of 15,000MW from all sources.
The government claimed to provide maximum relief to the people during the holy month of Ramzan but the insiders say there will be load shedding in coming days.
