Lawyers End Protest In Faisalabad

The Lawyers have ended their protest, continuing here for a Lahore High Court (LHC) bench for weeks and unlocked premises of the district courts
A general house meeting of the District Bar Association (DBA) was held here on Tuesday with its newly elected president Chaudhry Naveed Mukhtar Ghumman in the chair.
After the meeting, the DBA president told APP that the meeting discussed various matters including lawyers' protest and lockout of the courts, which had been continuing for the last 72 days.
The meeting was told that the government authorities had promised to fulfil lawyers demand for the LHC bench.
Therefore, the DBA had decided to end their protest and let the district courts resume their work in the best interest of the litigants.
