LCCI Hails Political Parties' Unanimous Stand On Country's Sovereignty

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Oct, 2016 ) : The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) Thursday welcomed the unanimous stand of political parties to safeguard national interests.
In a statement issued here, they urged the international fora including United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) to take note of the Indian aggression at the Line of Control (LoC) and violations of human rights in held Kashmir.
LCCI President Abdul Basit, Senior Vice President Amjad Ali Jawa and Vice President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan said that the government and political parties deserve appreciation as they have given a clear message to the world by adopting a strict and unified stance.
The LCCI office-bearers said that the world bodies should pressure Indian government to stop aggression and violation of human rights in held Kashmir.
They said that business community had serious concerns over the alarming situation in held Kashmir.
They said that the killing of innocent people in occupied Kashmir was not acceptable at all and the business community was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Kashmiri people. They said that occupied Kashmir was a longstanding dispute between Pakistan and India which had not only created tension and instability in the region but was also posing a threat to the international peace.
The LCCI office-bearers said: "India can no longer deny these facts by terming the situation its internal matter. "Pakistani business community will continue to extend moral support to the people of Kashmir for realisation of their right to self- determination," they said.
