LEAs Recover 13 Coal Miners After 9 Hours Of Abduction: Official

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) taking prompt action, have recovered 13 coal miners abducted from a coal mine in Darra Adam Khel Area of Kohat after nine hours of abduction

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jan, 2019 ) :Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) taking prompt action, have recovered 13 coal miners abducted from a coal mine in Darra Adam Khel Area of Kohat after nine hours of abduction.

An official of the district administration informed APP that the 13 coal miners were kidnapped at around 4:30 pm of Sunday afternoon and recovered by the law enforcers Monday morning after a successful operation.

The operation was jointly launched by the Khasadar Force led by Subedar Major Baseer Khan, Naib Subedar Fazal Raheem and Levies force headed by Tehsildar Darra Adam Khel Zafar Iqbal.

It was kidnapping for ransom, the official said.

The law enforcers arrested two accused and search operation was underway for the arrest of the remaining culprits.

The security forces recovered the miners from Zargon Khel area during the operation.

Ammunition was also recovered from the mountainous region.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mehmood Khan had taken notice of the incident and instructedthe authorities to ensure the safe return of the miners. He had also orderedimmediate arrest of the perpetrators.
