LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jul, 2024) The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 3.94 million from 91 chronic defaulters in all five districts - Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara - on the 262nd day of its recovery campaign.

A LESCO spokesman told the media here on Wednesday that on the 262nd day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 0.58 million from 12 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 0.45 million from 13 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE (Central Circle) recovered Rs 0.61 million from 11 defaulters; SE (South Circle) collected Rs 0.11 million from 11 defaulters; SE (Nankana Circle) recovered Rs 0.47 million from 08 defaulters; SE Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.46 million from 09 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; SE (Okara Circle) collected Rs 0.

48 million from 14 defaulters and SE (Kasur Circle) recovered Rs 0.78 million from 13 defaulters in Kasur Circle.

During the 262 days of anti-power theft campaign under the supervision of Director (Customer Services) Sarwar Mughal, the spokesman added, the company recovered more than Rs 3.28 billion outstanding dues from 106,909 dead defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 471.49 million from 15,500 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 731.76 million from 14,130 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 472.97 million from 12,305 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 173.01 million from 6,391 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 269.59 million from 9,376 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 469.95 million from 12,479 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 211.85 million from 16,783 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 476.00 million from 19,945 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
