PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2017 ) :Local Government Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has successfully completed recruitment of 97 percent of its staff whereas 1800 vacant posts would be filled soon through independent and transparent recruitment system till 30th December 2017 as per instructions of Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to an official statement issued here Tuesday, KP Local Government Department is a huge department with sanctioned strength of more than 50,000 employees, of which only three percent are currently laying vacant and being filled through departmental promotion and fresh induction.
Local Government is striving hard to ensure transparent induction via reputed testing agencies like NTS and EATA and 3501 positions of village and neighborhood secretaries have already been inducted through NTS.
In order to make process of induction transparent, the department has sent requisition to Public Service Commission for recruitment on posts of BPS-11 and above for the first the time. The vacant posts have not affected routine activities and efficiency of local government department as additional charges are assigned to other officers to ensure smooth functioning of the body.
