LHC CJ Summons AG In Land Scam Case

LAHORE, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Monday summoned Advocate General (AG) Punjab on January 6 in land scam case.
The chief Justice also issued notices to Lahore Development Authority and, Revenue authorities and sought their replies.
The CJ had taken notice of the matter after a private news channel reported the scam a few days ago and ordered the sessions judge to hold an inquiry.
The sessions judge after the inquiry found the matter correct. At this, the chief justice converted the sessions judge report into a petition and ordered to fix it today. Some accused reportedly used forged court orders to grab pieces of land measuring over 193,000 kanals across the province.
