LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday dismissed the bail application of an accused involved in sharing a video of the alleged rape of a female student on social media.
Justice Shakeel Ahmad heard the post-arrest bail application of the accused, Nasir Latif.
During the proceedings, the victim's counsel submitted that the school teacher, Nasir Latif, had continued to rape the student for a year and only shared the video after the victim asked to leave the school.
He argued that the accused did not deserve any relief and pleaded with the court to dismiss the bail application.
In response, the accused's counsel argued that the Federal Investigation Agency had filed the challan of the case with a delay of more than two years and that the accused had already been in jail for two years. He requested the court to grant benefit of bail to his client.
However, upon completing the arguments from both parties, the court dismissed the bail application of the accused.
