Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd March, 2019) At least two persons were shot dead and three other injured in two separate incidents in Karachi, police said on Friday.According to initial reports, two separate incidents of firing took place in two different parts of the city - Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Sharea Faisal.
The police, later, revealed that both cars were targeted by unidentified armed motorcyclists on the NIPA flyover.In the first incident, armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire at Maulana Taqi Usmani's vehicle, leaving his private guard Sanobar Khan dead on the spot.
Mulana Taqi, however, survived the attack.JPMC Director Dr Seemi Jamali said that another injured in the attack Maulana Aamir is under treatment and his condition is critical as he suffered multiple bullet wounds in the head and chest.According to DIG East Amir Farooq, Taqi Usmain survived the attack while his wife and grandson suffered minor injuries.
The firing incident took place at Nipa Chowrangi Karachi when two armed motorcyclists intercepted Maluana Usmani's vehicle and opened fire at him. Maulana Shahab suffered injuries whereas his driver was killed on the spot.
