Load-shedding To Be Eliminated Till 2018: Senator

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -6th Sept,2016) : Senator, PML-N Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi Tuesday said that Pakistan has gained the status of emerging economy and it is government utmost effort to provide all possible facilities and incentives to investors.

Talking to Radio Pakistan he said that economy has been revived over the past three years and efforts are afoot to expand exports. The government is not only focusing on mega power and infrastructure projects but also introducing programs to provide better education and health care facilities to the people.

He said the government was determined to eliminate load-shedding from the country till 2018 and many power projects have been initiated in this regard.

Most of the projects will be completed till 2017.

Replying to a question he said, " we are expecting 10000 MW electricity to be added in the National Grid in next few years. Prime Minister himself is monitoring the progress and has directed the concerned authorities to ensure the timely completion of all the power projects." The government is also making efforts to improve industrial as well as agricultural sectors in the country.

The biggest coal based power project underway in Sahiwal is top priority of the government.
