Local Holiday In Lahore On Mela Chiraghan

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th March, 2019) There will be a local holiday in Lahore on March 30 in view of Mela Chiraghan (festival of lights).

Schools, colleges and offices will remain closed on the occasion.

The three-day annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Shah Hussain popularly known as Madhu Lal Hussain will start at his shrine in Baghbanpura here from Saturday.

The urs celebrations will begin by laying traditional 'chadar' on the grave of sufi saint.

Mehfil-e-Samaa and Mehfil-e-Naat will be held with the participation of noted qawwals and Naat khawans while religious and spiritual meetings will also be held and ulema/mushaikh will throw light on the teachings of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain.

City District Government has finalized foolproof security arrangements for the occasion.
