
Lok Virsa, PBC For Joint Venture To Promote Culture, Art

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage Lok Virsa and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) on Thursday agreed to initiate joint culture programmes for promoting culture and art.
Executive Director Dr Fouzia Saeed visited PBC and discussed joint working plan with PBC senior officials. Controller PBC (Radio Pakistan) Dr. Hassan Farooqi and Director Programmes Khurshid Ahmed Malik held a meeting with ED Lok Virsa, said a press release.
Dr. Fouzia Saeed briefed Radio Pakistan officials about the Lok Virsa on-going programmes started for the promotion of regional languages.
Later, she visited Central Production Unit of the PBC during which Controller Central Production Gul Hassan Qureshi briefed about the preservation of Radio archives and plans for digitizing all the recordings. Dr.
Fouzia Saeed highly appreciated Radio Pakistan, saying that PBC is not only the holder of history of Pakistani music but also the whole history of Pakistan is saved here and all this process is very important for the generations to come.
