Lowari Tunnel likely to complete by March next year

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : The Lowari tunnel project would be completed and will become operational by March next year. Sources of National Highway Authority told Radio Pakistan that work on the construction of Lowari Tunnel has been accelerated under directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

The project will get completed at a cost of rupees twenty seven billion the sources said. With completion of the tunnel, traveling time between Peshawar and Chitral will be reduced to seven hours from the existing fourteen hours.
