Main Procession Of Youm-e-Ashur Taken Out From Nisar Haveli

LAHORE, Sept 20 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2018 ) ::The main procession of Youm-e-Ashur (Muharram 10) was taken out from Nisar Haveli, Mochi Gate, here on late Thursday night under strict security.

The procession after passing through its traditional route, including Chowk Nawab Sahib, Koocha Qazi Khana, Koocha Miskeenan, Chowk Kotwali, Kashmiri Bazaar, Sonehri Masjid, Dabbi Bazaar, Gumti Bazaar, Syed Mittha Bazaar, Tehsil Bazaar, Bazaar Hakimaan, Ucchi Masjid and Bhatti Chowk would culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah.

Meanwhile, security had been beefed up by the city police and other law enforcement agencies. A number of closed circuit television cameras had been installed on the route of the main procession.

Personnel of Dolphin Squad, Quick Response Force and Police Response Unit would continue to patrol the city's roads until the culmination of the main procession.

DIG Operations Shehzad Akbar directed the SPs to ensure proper implementation of security SOPs and monitor security measures in their respective areas.
