Mainly Hot, Dry Weather Likely In Most Parts Of Country

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : Met office forecast mainly hot, dry weather in most parts of the country in next 24 hours. Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Yesterday's trough of Westerly wave over Kashmir continues to persist and a fresh Westerly wave lies over Northern parts of Iran, an official told APP.
In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in KP, Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Zhob division. Rainfall recorded during this time span was Punjab: Lahore (City 97mm, Ap 21mm), University of Lahore 54mm, Toba Tek Singh 39mm, Layyah 36, Chakwal 16, Sargodha, Bhakkar 12, Okara 07, Faisalabad 06mm, Kasur 03mm, Joharabad 02mm, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Kamra01mm.
K.P: Kalam 11mm, Kohat 09mm, Balakot, D.I khan 07mm, Pattan 05mm. FATA: Parachinar 08mm. Gilgit-Baltistan: Gupis 04mm, Sakrdu 03mm, Astore, Gilgit 02mm, Kashmir: Garidupatta 04mm, Muzaffarabad 02mm.
Balochistan: Zhob 02mm. Maximum temperatures recorded on Friday were Turbat 42�C, Nokkundi 39�C, Multan 37�C, Peshawar 36�C, Faisalabad, Hyderabad 35�C, Lahore 34�C, Quetta 33�C, Karachi, Islamabad 32�C, Muzaffarabad 31�C, Chitral, Dir 30�C, Kalat 28�C, Gilgit 26�C, Murree 22�C, Skardu 21�C and Hunza 19�C.
