RAWALPINDI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd March, 2019) : Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has left for his homeland on completion of his three-day visit to Pakistan.Prime Minister Imran Khan saw off the Malaysian premier, who had reached Pakistan on March 21.

Cabinet members were also present on the occasion.Mahathir Mohamad inspected JF-17 Thunder before his departure to Malaysia and he was given a briefing on JF-17 Thunder fighter jets at the Nur Khan Airbase.

Mahthir Mohammad had worn PAF special jacket on the occasion.The Malaysian prime minister attended the Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad as the guest of honour.During his stay, the Malaysian premier held meetings with Pakistan's top civil and military leadership.

He was conferred the highest civil award Nishan-e-Pakistan at an impressive investiture ceremony held at the President House in Islamabad.Addressing a banquet in honour of the Malaysian premier, President Arif Alvi said Pakistan and Malaysia enjoy brotherly relations which can be taken to new heights.Malaysia has shown keen interest in procuring JF-17 Thunder fighter planes and anti-tank missiles from Pakistan, Finance Minister Asad Umar told media after delegation-level talks between the two countries' leaders at Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Friday.During his stay in Pakistan 5 different Memorandum of Understanding were also signed between Pakistan and Malaysia.
