Marriyum Aurangzeb Takes A Rickshaw Ride To Meet Nawaz Sharif In Jail

Marriyum Aurangzeb surprised everyone as she took a rickshaw to get to the prison.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st January, 2019) Several Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leaders are visiting former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Kot Lakhpat jail today.

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former president Mamnoon Hussain, former defence minister Khawaja Asif, former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal, Javed Hashmi, PML-N spokesperson Mariam Aurangzaib and others arrived at the prison to meet Sharif.

However, Marriyum Aurangzeb surprised everyone as she took a rickshaw to get to the prison.

She got media coverage for taking a rickshaw ride as politicians are seldom seen using public transport.

The jail authorities have fixed Thursday for meeting with Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, a larger medical board on Wednesday examined the health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat Jail.

The six-member medical board constituted by the Punjab government evaluated Nawaz Sharif's health condition and medical reports.

The medical board comprised Dr Hamid Sharif Khan, Dr Muhammad Talha Bin Nazir, Dr Shahid Hameed, Dr Sajjad Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Siddiqui and Dr Azmat Hayat.

The board would submit its report and recommendations to thegovernment, informed jail sources.
