Martyred Col Sohail Abid’s Poem In Love Of Homeland Left Everyone In Tears

Col Sohail Abid of Military Intelligence embraced martyrdom when security forces killed a high value target of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi on Thursday
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th May, 2018) The entire nation is aggrieved over the martyrdom of Colonel Sohail Abid while fighting against terrorists in Balochistan.
Col Abid had written a poem in love of his homeland depicting his courage and emotions while being in the Pak Army. This poem is going viral on social media. The poem was in urdu and goes like:
Meri wafa ka taqaza hai k jaan nisaar karun
Aey watan teri mitti se aisa pyar karun
Maire lahu se teri jo bahaar baki ho
Mera naseeb hai k mein aisa baar baar karun
Khoon dil se jo chaman ko bahaar sonp gya
Aey kaash in mein khud ko shumar karun
Meri dua hai Sohail mein bhi Shaheed kehlaon
Mein koi kaam kabhi aisa yaadgar karun
Col Sohail Abid was laid to rest with full military honour.
Upon the sacrifice of Col Abid, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwas said, “When a soldier sacrifices his life I lose part flesh of my body, that night is always difficult to pass.
But we remain fully determined to sacrifice anything and everything for the defence of our motherland.”
Colonel Sohail Abid of Military Intelligence embraced martyrdom when security forces killed a high value target of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi involved in killings of over 100 innocent personnel of Hazara Community and police.
Security Forces conducted an IBO in Killi Almas, Balochistan on pointation from apprehended HVT about presence of suicide bombers along with other terrorists in hideouts. During operation, three terrorists including two suicide bombers and a high value target Salman Badeni, head of LeJ Balochistan, was killed. During intense exchange of fire, Colonel Sohail Abid of Military Intelligence embraced martyrdom while four soldiers got injured.
