Mashhood echoes the collective efforts of Commonwealth to empower Youth

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme(PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has reiterated the collective commitment of the Commonwealth of Nations to empower the youth and deliver more effective results for the youth of the member countries.

Chairman PMYP, Rana Mashhood who is also the chairman of the Commonwealth Ministerial Task Force, while addressing the 10th meeting of the Commonwealth Youth Ministers Task Force through video conference held at Marlborough House London appreciated the Commonwealth Secretariat's efforts in ensuring the voice of youth at the global level.

He highlighted the importance of the October Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting where the Heads of State will review the proposals and ministerial statement of the 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministers' Meeting.

Mashhood reiterated the collective commitment of Commonwealth countries to empower youth and deliver more effective upshots for the youth of Member States.

Referring to the commitments made during the 10th meeting of Commonwealth Youth Ministers last September, he emphasized the importance of the promises into concrete actions.

He emphasized the importance of necessary steps to address the major challenges facing the youth, including unemployment, educational disparity, climate change and civic inclusion.

In his address, Mashhood shared insights into the transformative impact of these initiatives that have empowered countless young Pakistanis to play a positive role in their communities and the country's future.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan's pledge to empower youth and work with Commonwealth countries to build a brighter and more inclusive future for youth around the world.

During the virtual meeting ministers, delegates and youth representatives from Commonwealth member countries discussed important issues affecting the youth.
