“If Allah wants, He can still make Pakistan a Madina-like welfare state at the hands of Imran Khan even in these peculiar circumstances,” he said.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th May, 2019) Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel continues to support Prime Minister Imran Khan despite the increasing opposition against him.
Journalist Saleem Safi asked Maulana Tariq Jameel in a tv show if he is also disappointed by the performance of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Saleem Safi asked, “You had supported Iman Khan before and after the election. Are you also disappointed at Imran Khan when his voters are now rooting against him?”
Responding to this, Maulana Tariq Jameel said he had only recorded a short clip that was politicised.
“I am not a political person. Neither do I have any plans of joining politics. I am associated with the work of Tableegh.
However, I am not disappointed with Imran Khan,” he said.
The religious scholar said that Imran Khan is the first person to talk about Riyasat-e-Madina.
“If Allah wants, He can still make Pakistan a Madina-like welfare state at the hands of Imran Khan even in these peculiar circumstances,” he said.
He said that we would have to leave lying and adultery if we want to make Pakistan a welfare state like Madina.
He said that Imran Khan is honest and that’s why is hopeful about Pakistan becoming Riyasat-e-Madina.
When Saleem Safi asked if Maulana could not find this honesty in Nawaz Sharif or Yousaf Raza Gilani, he said they never talked about Riyasat-e-Madina or expressed their resolve to make Pakistan one.
