Mayor Sukkur Praises Role Of Ulema For Religious Harmony

Mayor Sukkur Arslan Shaikh on Saturday appreciated the role of Ulema of various schools of thought and members of the District Peace Committees for promoting religious harmony, which helped maintain peace during Ashura.

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2018 ) :Mayor Sukkur Arslan Shaikh on Saturday appreciated the role of Ulema of various schools of thought and members of the District Peace Committees for promoting religious harmony, which helped maintain peace during Ashura.

He appreciated the efficient work done by police and Rangers personnel under the command of the IGP Sindh for the maintenance of a peaceful atmosphere during Ashura, said a statement issued here.

The Mayor Sukkur said the Chief Minister Sindh was personally monitoring the implementation of security plan worked out by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) with their collective wisdom.

He thanked the citizens, Ulema and law enforcement agencies for their cooperation to maintain peace in the city in general and in the province in particular.
