The measures have been started for the implementation of 'Naya Pakistan Housing Programme' in true spirit for providing residential facilities to homeless people.
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Oct, 2018 ) :The measures have been started for the implementation of 'Naya Pakistan Housing Programme' in true spirit for providing residential facilities to homeless people.
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad while addressing a meeting of technical team of the Punjab government headed by Director Development & Engineering Housing Department Rizwan-ur-Rehman who visited here on Saturday for survey and reviewing of the different sites.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Financial Officer Punjab Land Development Company Shafique Ejaz, President Institute of Architect of Pakistan Azam Saeed, CEO Urban Environmental Planner Nadeem Khurshid, ADC (HQ) Qaisar Abbas Rind, Deputy Director Housing Muhammad Saeed, Deputy Director Development Dr. Naveed Iftikhar, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce Syed Zia Alamdar, representatives of Supreme Anjaman-e-Tajran Aslam Bhalli and others.
The DC said the district had also been included in this programme in the first phase and necessary steps were being taken for the establishment of Housing Colony under 'Naya Pakistan Housing Programme'.
The members of the team apprised the meeting about the requirements for the selection of suitable site for the establishment of the housing colony under 'Naya Pakistan Housing Programme' and asked the district administration to identify land near the city which could be feasible for this scheme in all respect to develop the infrastructure easily.
It was informed during the meeting that the lower and middle income families without their homes were the target for providing them homes under this programme.
The DC informed the team about the available state land at Jaranwala road, Millat road and other areas and said that all out administrative support would be provided by the district administration to implement this housing programme.
The participants of the meeting gave their proposals for the selection of the land and said that study in this connection should be conducted for the success of this programme.
