Measures Taken To Deal With The Flood-like Situation In Balochistan: Secretary Irrigation

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) Balochistan Secretary Irrigation Department Hafiz Abdul Majid on Sunday said in view of the instructions of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Irrigation Minister Mir Sadiq Ummrani, appropriate measures are being taken to deal with the flood-like situation in the province.

A statement issued here, said that in view of the flood-like situation in different areas of the province, the officers and officials of the Irrigation Department should ensure their presence at the duty stations.

He warned that no one will leave the duty station without his permission and ordered that whoever is on leave should report back immediately.

He directed that the Chief Engineer Canal Naseerabad should share information on daily basis regarding flood situation.

Hafiz Abdul Majid said that Chief Engineer Quetta will visit the Sibi district today and report on the flood situation on Sunday. He ordered that the Chief Engineer and SE Gwadar should also report from their station tonight and meet with district administration.

Secretary Hafiz Abdul Majid directed that all the officers should perform their duties in a good manner, no negligence will be tolerated in that regard.
