Media Studies' Students Stage Protest Against Removal Of HoD

The students of Communication and Media Studies Gomal University Monday staged protest against the removal of Chairman of the department Prof Dr Wasim Akbar Sheikh by the Vice Chancellor.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Nov, 2018 ) :The students of Communication and Media Studies Gomal University Monday staged protest against the removal of Chairman of the department Prof Dr Wasim Akbar Sheikh by the Vice Chancellor.

The students were carrying placards and chanted slogans in front of Communication and Media Studies department against Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the university.

The students said that Dr Wasim Akber Sheikh was a good chairman and loyal to the department and assigning the charge to Chairman Islamic Studies and Arabic Prof Dr Salahuddin was unjust.

They demanded VC to reinstate him otherwise they will stage protest in front of Higher education Commission (HEC) Islamabad.

It's worth mentioning here that the Administration of Gomal University had removed three Head of the Departments (HoDs) from their offices over boycotting the classes for last few days on the call ofGomal University Academic Staff Association (GUASA) to fulfill their legaldemands.
