Meeting For Welfare Of Special Persons Held

JHANG, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2018 ) ::A meeting was held to finalize measures for the welfare of visually impaired persons. The meeting was presided over by ADC (Revenue) in which Deputy Director Social Welfare Azhar Abbas Adil, Tehsil sports Officer Mehr Altaf Hussain and others were also present.
The meeting decided to review special quota for the appointment of special persons in different departments. ADC (Revenue) directed to speed up process of cards for journey of special persons on reduced fares.
A Facilitation Center has been set up in the office of Deputy Director Social Welfare. ADC (Revenue) directed to finalize the holding of Blind cricket Tournament.
Deputy Director Social Welfare told the meeting that Rs 1,649,000 have so far been distributed among visually impaired persons for setting up their own business.
Moreover, Rs 190,000 have been distributed among 190 persons from monthly Zakat Fund, Rs 1,531,000 from Punjab Baitul Mal to 184 special persons, Rs 2 lakh among 20 special persons from Pakistan Baitul Mal and animals were given to 61 needy visually impaired persons.
He said that 160 special persons were given jobs in government offices while 130 in private sector, adding that 1583 needy and visually impaired persons have been given Punjab Khidmat Cards. APP/dba/ia/zqr
