Melad-un-Nabi (SAW) Being Celebrated At Government Level First Time: Fawad

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Nov, 2018 ) ::Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on Sunday that for the first time in Pakistan's history, the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Melad-un-Nabi, was being celebrated with religious fervor at government level.
He was addressing the Mehfil-e-Noor-Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him) organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) here at Governor House, where Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar also spoke, while MNAs, MPAs, journalists, columnists and a large of people from various walks of life were also present.
On this occasion, Provincial Information Minister Fiazul Hassan Chohan also recited a Naat-e-Rasool-Maqbool to express his love and affection for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The federal information minister said Rabi-ul-Awwal was the month of Melad-un-Nabi (PBUH), and the Pakistani nation and Muslim Ummah were celebrating this holy month with great reverence.
Every Muslim had immense love and devotion for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and always ready to rendering all sorts of sacrifices in upholding the honour and dignity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he said and added, "Imran Khan is true lover of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and he landed bare-footed in Madinah Munawara." Chaudhry Fawad Hussain mentioned that on the directives of Prime Minister Irman Khan, the MoIB arranged this holy event, asserting that the PTI government was holding several programmes to celebrate Eid Melad-un-Nabi (PBUH) so as to highlight the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) narrative of peace, harmony, love, fraternity and tolerance.
It had been observed that when the government and major political parties did not adopt or promote this narrative, it create space for the small groups to use this narrative for their political motives, as we had seen such situation created by a small group in the recent past, he maintained.
Keeping this factor in view, he said, the PTI government had decided to take measures to promote the narrative of peace, tolerance, love and fraternity as envisioned in the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The minister said in this connection, the government was going to organize an International Conference on 'Rehmatul Lil Aalameen' in Islamabad to be participated by world's renowned scholars, researchers, mashaikh and ulema.
He mentioned that Prime Minister would inaugurate this conference, while President of Pakistan would be the chief guest in its concluding session.
He said Seerat (life) of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is a beacon of light for the entire humanity, adding Holy Prophet (PBUH) had 1400 years ago, set the rules as how to treat war prisoners; gave charter of rights of the weaker segments of society including women, children, and slaves.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) had also ensured inheritance rights of women, adding the PTI government was going to unveil a mega package on November 29 and women's inheritance law with revolutionary changes had also been made its component. Imran Khan was the first Prime Minister, who thought of the poor and shelter-less people and was working for their uplift, he added.
Earlier, Fateha was also offered for Ameer of Tableeghi Jamaat (Pakistan chapter) Haji Abdul Wahab and his great services for promotion of teachings of islam were also appreciated.
In his address, Mufti Farooqul Qadri highlighted various facets of the holy life Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), while Abrarul Haq, Hafiz Iram Raza, Qari Kamran Chishti and others recited Naat-e-Rasool. Sain Zahoor Ahmed and other vocalists presented Arifana Kalam. Justice (Retd.) Nazir Ghazi and Noor Bokhari presided over the Mehfil.
