Task Force of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has imposed fine for Rs 2.5 millions to 98 power pilferers during a crack down across 13 districts of the region.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2019 ) :Task Force of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has imposed fine for Rs 2.5 millions to 98 power pilferers during a crack down across 13 districts of the region.
Mepco sources said here on Saturday that in line with special directions of CEO Engineer Tahir Mahmood, the task force alongwith district administration and police launched a crack down against power pilferers.
The task force fined them Rs 2.5 million for stealing 158,000 electricity units.
The Mepco task force has also got registered FIRs against 18 power pilferers with the concerned police stations, sources added.
