MEPCO Imposes Rs 94.7mln Fine On 3052 Power Pilferers

Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has imposed Rs 94.7 million fine on 3052 consumers over the charges of stealing electricity from Oct-1 to Nov 10.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has imposed Rs 94.7 million fine on 3052 consumers over the charges of stealing electricity from Oct-1 to Nov 10.

According to MEPCO officials sources, various teams, along with members of the task forces established by the district governments, and imposed Rs 73.

5 million fine on 2377 consumers for stealing electricity during the last month.

The teams also got lodged cases against 792 power pilferers.

Similarly, MEPCO teams caught 679 power pilferers during the first 10 days of current month of November and imposed Rs 21.2 million fine on them. The teams also got lodged cases against 61 powerpilferers and 33 power pilferers were apprehended.
