MEPCO Recovered Rs 730 Mln From 56,117 Dead Defaulters During Six Months

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) ::Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has recovered Rs 730 million from 56,117 dead defaulters across south Punjab during first six months of current fiscal year 2018-19.
According to Mepco spokesman Jamshaid Niazi, operation against chronic defaulters was continued with rapid pace and added that sub-divisional, divisional and circle teams were conducting raids.
He said that Rs 173.9 million were recovered from 11430 dead defaulters from Multan circle during July to December 2018.
Similarly, Rs 75.8 million from 6370 defaulters in DG Khan division, Rs 42.2 million from 2921 defaulters in Vehari circle, Rs 111.9 million from 10976 defaulters in Bahawalpur circle, Rs 48 million from 3604 dead defaulters in Sahiwal circle, Rs 80 million from 6976 defaulters in Rahim Yar Khan, Rs 108 million were recovered from 6902 defaulters in Muzaffargarh circle, Rs 32.
8 million from 2905 defaulters in Bahawalnagar circle and Rs 56.5 million were recovered from 4033 dead defaulters in Khanewal circle during above said period.
He said that Chief Executive Officer MEPCO Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhary had directed the Suprintending Engineers of all operation circles to launch crackdown against defaulters without any discrimination and also disconnect the connections of defaulters over non payment of dues.
