ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Sunday said the mess created due to the mismanagement of previous regimes over the last seven decades could not be cleared overnight.
He said as Rome was not built in a day, it would take time to steer Pakistan out of the crises the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government inherited.
Talking to a private news channel, the governor said the PTI government had been able to set its goals during its first 100 days in office.
He said accountability was vital for establishing a corruption-free society. The whole PTI leadership, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, had presented themselves for accountability, he added.
The governor said the government was working to bring change in the society. A new local government system was in the offing to provide maximum relief to the masses, he added.
He said though he had a constitutional role but his doors were open for the workers as being a worker, he knew their problems and would try to resolve the same.
To a question, Chaudhry Sarwar said he was enjoying cordial relations with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
To another query, he he had no rift with the coalition partners and was rather enjoying cordial relations with the leadership of allied parties.
