Metropolitan Commissioner Urges Citizens To Own Their City Karachi

Metropolitan Commissioner of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman urged the citizens to own their city and play their role in solving its problems and making it a better city.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :Metropolitan Commissioner of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman urged the citizens to own their city and play their role in solving its problems and making it a better city.
He said this while speaking in a programme with regard to Bridges Compassionate Community Centre held by Charter for compassion Pakistan and KMC jointly, said a statement on Tuesday.
He said that various organizations and persons who are associated with the welfare of people and social work should work for promotion of education in the children of poor and less privileged areas of Karachi so that they could become useful citizens of the society.
The locations beneath bridges and flyovers can be utilized for better purpose and constructive activities which is the best use of these open spaces and also to save from illegal activities and encroachments.
The programme was attended by religious scholar and writer Ms.
Karen Armstrong, Amin Hashwani, zarrin quareishi, Ali zubairi and others.
Earlier, Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Syed Saif ur Rehman cut theribbon to inaugurate the school.
