Mian Iftikhar Invites Maulana Ata Ur Rehman To National Peace Jirga

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) President of the Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday held a meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) provincial chief Senator Maulana Ata ur Rehman, extending an invitation to participate in the upcoming National Peace Jirga.

Spokesman Bacha Khan Markaz said, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, accompanied by a delegation, visited the JUI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office where he met with Senator Maulana Ata ur Rehman.

During the meeting, the ANP leader invited the JUI chief to attend the National Peace Jirga scheduled to be held on 26 July at Bacha Khan Markaz in Peshawar.

The ANP delegation included General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, Vice Presidents Shahi Khan Sherani, and Salahuddin.

The invitation is seen as part of broader efforts to foster unity and dialogue among political and religious groups for the promotion of peace in the region.
