Minister Appreciates NAB's Efforts Against Corruption

Provincial Minister for School Education Dr Murad Raas appreciated the efforts and commitments of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the eradication of corruption from the society.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Nov, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for School education Dr Murad Raas appreciated the efforts and commitments of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the eradication of corruption from the society.

He was addressing as chief guest at a seminar organized by awareness and prevention wing of the NAB at Alhamra Hall here on Tuesday in collaboration with United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) to mark the International Anti Corruption Day.

He said it was a matter of admiration for NAB Awareness & Prevention Wing that they were working in Educational Institutions along with other operational activities.

"Our youth is our future, they have to handle all affairs of nation in coming future and the NAB's efforts at morality of them has its worth," he added.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is one of the signatory of UNCAC, whereas, in response to the guidelines of UNCAC, the NAB, being an apex anti-corruption body organizes different events at school, college and university level to mark the Anti-Corruption Day.

The NAB Lahore also organised an urdu Declamation Contest among Inter-Collegiate and University students at Al-Hamra Arts Council, Lahore on the topic "Khud Ehtasabi: Waqt ki Pukaar".

The activity was organized among 38 contestants from 21 districts of Punjab.

Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) Dr Amir Zaman Khanand, Acting Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat Dr Faheem Malik participated in the contest as guests of honour.

Later, certificates were awarded to the position holdersof the contest.
