Minister Food Visits Sugar Mill, Inspects Canteen

Provincial Minister for Food Samilullah Chaudhry paid a surprise visit to Ashraf Sugar Mills near here and inquired about sugarcane farmers' problems.

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for food Samilullah Chaudhry paid a surprise visit to Ashraf Sugar Mills near here and inquired about sugarcane farmers' problems.

He said sugarcane should be procured from farmers at the rate of Rs 180 per 40 kilogramsand the process of weighing must be monitored. The minister directed timely payment of dues to the farmers.

Provincial Minister was briefed that 300 trollies and as many bull carts and camel carts bring sugarcane to the sugar mill. Samiullah also inspected welfare canteen for sugar mill workers and ate the meal with the workers. He also inquired workers about their problems. Provincial Minister was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Bahawalpur Ehsaan Ali Jamali, Assistant Commissioner Saddar Mehdi Maloof and ASP Saddar Mir Roheel Khoso.
