Minister Inaugurates Three Days Exhibition At Rawalpindi Arts Council

Provincial Minister for Literacy and Basic Non Formal Education Raja Rashid Hafeez inaugurates a three-days exhibition of calligraphy by famous calligraphist Muhammad Azeem Iqbal at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) here on Tuesday
In the exhibition more than fifty calligraphic art works on Islamic arts were displayed in various mediums like leather, wood work, copper and other precious stones.
While addressing on the occasion, Rashid Hafeez said calligraphy was a tradition of Islamic values and Azeem Iqbal presented the era of Holy Prophet (PBUH) in his master pieces. He said, it was a unique art to use similar things which were used to write Holy Quran.
In welcome remarks, Waqar Ahmed, Director, RAC shed light on the history and importance of calligraphic art with special reference to the work of Azeem Iqbal.
