Minister Of State For Interior Calls On Nasir Durrani

Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi on Monday said that Ministry of Interior was determined to give operational and financial autonomy to Islamabad Police and soon it would introduce the projects of common welfare and community involvement by taking the general community on board.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi on Monday said that Ministry of Interior was determined to give operational and financial autonomy to Islamabad Police and soon it would introduce the projects of common welfare and community involvement by taking the general community on board.

The minister called on Chief of Police Reforms Commission Nasir Khan Durrani and discussed different issues relating to police reforms, besides introducing the model of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior.

Meanwhile, the minister said that long term reforms in police structure would also be introduced to enhance the efficiencies and services of the police and in that regard, special schools and units would also be established.
