Minister Suspends Three Officers For Poor Quality Construction

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Communication & Works (C&W), Akbar Ayub Friday suspended three officers including one Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and two Sub-Engineers for poor quality and sub-standard constructions.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Communication & Works (C&W), Akbar Ayub Friday suspended three officers including one Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and two Sub-Engineers for poor quality and sub-standard constructions.

He took this action during a surprise inspection of different development schemes in district Abbottabad.

Similarly, he has also took notice of the prior payments before starting of construction of various schools in provincial assembly Constituencies of Abbottabad and directed the concerned authorities for the identification of those responsible and conduct probe into the matter to present inquiry report to him within a period of seven days.

The provincial minister Akbar Ayub along with MNA Ali Khan Jadoon, concerned members of the provincial assembly and C&W authorities Friday conducted a sudden inspection of the under-construction development schemes in district.

The minister while expressing strong anguish over the use of poor quality and sub-standard material in the under-construction college road and link road under district Beautification Project directed the immediate suspension of the SDO Tariq Shah and Sub-Engineers Zaheer and Zahid Amin.

During briefing at the office of Chief Engineer (East), the provincial minister was told that payment for Government Girls Primary School, Dan Aala Abad, Government Girls Primary school Masaar, Government Girls Primary School Upper Lora of PK-45 and Government Girls Primary School Soban Gali in PK-46 and Government Girls Primary School Noorban Bazaar, Government Girls Primary School Gaddi.

Government Girls Primary School Beerwal and Government Girls Primary School Haryan Union Council Kakul in PK-44 was made before the commencement of work.

The minister while taking notice of the matter directed the concerned authorities for completion of inquiry and presentation of report to him within a period of one week to identify the concerned responsible officers.

Furthermore, the Minister for C&W also took notice of the poor quality construction of Danah Behlula Road and directed inquiry into the matter.

Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister made it clear on the C&W Department authoritiesthat no compromise will be made on the standard of the public welfare-oriented projects and the negligent officers besides indiscriminate departmental action will also face legal proceedings.
