ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Augst,2016) : Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has urged the Indian government to immediately allow the United Nations Human Rights Commission's team to visit the territory and take stock of the worst human rights violations and killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar welcomed the statement of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al-Husein in which he had expressed concern over the current situation in occupied Kashmir and sought permission from India for sending a team to investigate the human rights violations in the occupied territory, KMS reporred. Expressing hope that the Indian government would give up its adamant stance and would facilitate the UNHRC team to visit Kashmir, he said, "This would help the international community to know the reality and ground situation in Kashmir.
" He denounced the cold-blooded custodial murder of a young lecturer, Shabbir Ahmad Monga, of Khrew area of Pulwama. The Mirwaiz also condemned the stopping of supply of essential commodities to Srinagar by the occupation authorities. "Let the regime know that its anti-human tactics of blocking supply of fuel and essential food items like milk and vegetables from reaching to people so that they suffer and are brought down on their knees and taught a lesson, will not deter those who have shown such tremendous resilience for their just cause," he said.
