Model Courts dispose of 100 murder and narcotics cases in Rawalpindi

In order to provide speedy justice and to clear the massive backlog of cases the Model Courts Monday decided 100 cases including 44 cases of murder and 56 narcotics

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2019 ) :In order to provide speedy justice and to clear the massive backlog of cases the Model Courts Monday decided 100 cases including 44 cases of murder and 56 narcotics.

Director General Supreme Court Monitoring Cell Sohail Nasir said, that in order to decide pending cases on priority death sentence was awarded to nine while life imprisonment was also awarded to nine accused .

Modern technique of proceedings have been adopted to decide old cases while performance of model courts are being assessed on daily basis, he added.
