LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2017 ) :Lahore General Hospital has started its own kind of modern treatment for kidney patients which would help remove stones from kidney without operation and by using modern techniques.

This was disclosed by Principal Post-Graduate Medical Institute Prof Dr Ghias-un-Nabi Tayyab while speaking at a workshop on kidney treatment without operation here at Lahore General Hospital, which was attended by the young doctors from all over the country.

Prof Ghias appreciated the efforts of head of Urology Department Prof Dr Mohammad Nazir, who made this mission possible and made a breakthrough in introducing such treatment which would be more efficient and cost-effective for the kidney patients.

He said that so far three successful treatments had been completed through the technique in Lahore General Hospital and the institution had become the first hospital to provide the facility. Prof Mohammad Nazir told the workshop that in the modern treatment technique, camera and lazer are used for stone removal.

He said that in Pakistan unfortunately patients of urology are increasing, and in Multan to Jaccobabad region, more percentage of kidney patients is reported.
