Money Of Auctioned Cars To Be Spent On Welfare Schemes

Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed here on Tuesday said following the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the money obtained from auction of vehicles will be spent on public welfare schemes.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed here on Tuesday said following the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the money obtained from auction of vehicles will be spent on public welfare schemes.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has fulfilled his commitment for termination of protocol culture.

He was talking to media men on the occasion of auction of vehicles of National Highway Authority (NHA). Senior officers from the Ministry and NHA were also present on the occasion.

Murad Saeed said pragmatic steps are underway to eliminate corruption in the country and the corrupt practices will be uprooted in the Ministry and its attached departments on every level.

The individuals involved in money laundering will have to face accountability, he added.

He further said, Prime Minister Imran Khan is drawing attention towards solving the public issues and the plan for construction of 5 million homes is a step forward towards public welfare schemes. He hoped that duration of hard time would soon come to an end. Spending of public money on public is real democracy, he added.

The NHA has also scheduled auction of vehicles in its offices at Abbottabad, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Karachi, Quetta and Gilgit. NHA vehicles at Peshawar will be auctioned on October 17, 2018.
