More Than 1,700 Policemen Deputed For I-Day Security

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : The Police Department has made tight security arrangements by deputing more than 1,700 cops for the Independence Day (I-Day) celebrations. Police spokesman Amir Waheed said here on Saturday that four superintendents police (SPs) and 13 deputy superintendents police (DSPs) have been directed to ensure tight security arrangements.
He said that more than 250 police pickets have been erected across the district besides beefing up security at sensitive points. As many as 15 teams of quick response force and 12 teams of Elite Force have also been deployed for continuous patrolling on all roads of the district, whereas 13 circle officers and five divisional SPs will monitor the entire security arrangements. The police spokesman also appealed to the general public to keep a vigil eye on suspects and immediately informed the police if they are suspicious about any person or thing around them.
