LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2021 ) :Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Thursday said that state-of-the-art Mother and Child hospital would play a pivotal role in ensuring the health of mothers and children.

She was visiting the site of under-construction Ganga Ram Mother and Child Quaternary Hospital here on Thursday to review the pace of work there.

She directed the concerned officers to ensure completion of work on Mother and Child Block within the stipulated deadline.

She said that in the province, seven mother and child hospitals were being developed. The construction of new mother and child hospitals was the materialization of the dream of Prime Minister Imran Khan, she said.

The Health Minister also laid the foundation stone of the newly constructed Nephrology Block. Vice Chancellor FJU Dr Amir Zaman Khan and Saeeda Akhtar were present on the occasion.

The Minister expressed gratitude to donors Mohammad Akhtar and Dr Saeeda Akhtar for generous donation. She prayed to the Almighty Allah to reward their services.

She said, "Our first priority is to provide the best quality health services at people's doorstep."Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Dr. Amir Zaman Khan, MS Ganga Ram Hospital Dr. Ihteshamul Haq, Project Director Ijaz Shaikh, Professor Javed Chaudhry and a number of relevant officials were present on the occasion.
