MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2018 ) :Additional Director General Multan Development Authority (MDA) Rizwan Qadeer said here on Tuesday that 60 cases have been registered against outlaws involved in illegal housing schemes.
There are about 450 housing schemes and land sub-divisions falling under the MDA. The action is being taken against the illegal housing schemes without any discrimination. He said this in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
He informed that a mafia is involved in business of illegal housing schemes. The mafia used to sell plots to people after describing attractive features of the colonies but they would disappear without fulfilling necessary development works.
According to bylaws of MDA, the authority takes possession of 25 per cent land of colony and then return it to the colony owners after completion of development work in the colony. He advised masses to contact MDA before purchasing a plot in any such colony.
