
'Multan To Get Two Mega Projects Within Six Months'

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Member Punjab Public Accounts Committee, MPA Muhammad Ali Khokhar on Tuesday hinted at initiating Clean Drinking Water Project and Safe City Project with Chinese investment in next six months in the city. In a press briefing at local press club, he said that different MoUs had been signed with Chinese companies in this regard during the recent CM visit paid to the later country.
Clean Drinking Water Project would be started in December 2016, while Safe City Water project would begun in March, next year, Muhammad Ali Khokhar said. He said, Punjab would also be able to reap benefits of CPEC project.
He said it would be a 'turning point' not only for Pakistan but also for China. He said time had ripen to attract foreign investment for this region, and Chinese firms have willingly expressed their interest in making investment in Multan as knowing importance of the city.
Muhammad Ali Khokhar who also holds the charge of member governing body of Multan Development Authority (MDA) said CM Punjab invited Chinese companies to focus Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur as they had big potential and fertile for any future investment.
"Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif vows to take Multan along with rest of the country at any cost," he remarked. He however, gave foremost preference to resolve sewerage issue currently persisting in the city.
He said they couldn't achieve any result if failed to make right decision on time. He assured to complete Metro bus project within a month. He said the project was going into fast pace and they would leave no stone unturned to complete the project within stipulated period.
