LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2019 ) :Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader Yasin Malik, has appealed to the world bodies to play their role in the release of ailing Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik from the Indian prison on medical grounds.
Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club (LPC) on Saturday, Mushaal Mullick shared painful details of her husband's unlawful detention by the Indian Occupied forces from Sri Nagar, his shifting to New Delhi and later Tihar Jail where Yasin Malik had been observing 'death fast' for the last 12 days against his unlawful imprisonment by the Indian authorities and for acceptance of his demands.
Yasin Malik's seven-year-old daughter Razia Sultana, Mushaal's mother Rehana Hussein Mullick and President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari were also present during the press conference.
She said Yasin Malik was on life-saving drugs and took regular medicine for his chronic blood related disease which he caught during the Indian detention in young age and if the medicine was not administered to him it may cause danger to his life. She said Yasin Malik was reported to have been shifted to a small clinic in the suburbs of New Delhi but he deserved better treatment.
Mushaal told the media that her husband Yasin Malik was a political prisoner and not a terrorist, adding Malik was detained by the Indian authorities in violations of the international law.
She said the Indian Occupied Forces were dehumanizing the Kashmiris in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, adding the Kashmiris were being subjected to the worst state terrorism.
In her appeal to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Mushaal Mullick said Pakistan government should take up Yasin Malik's case with the International Court of Justice (ICJ), adding if India could take the case of terrorist Kalbhushan Yadav's to the ICJ, why could not Pakistan plead for the release of Yasin Malik before the international body.
Mushaal Mullick demanded the formation of a high-powered Pakistani delegation to arouse the world conscience on IoK, stressing it was time for the Pakistan government to make the world know how Kashmiris were deprived of their birth right and subjected to the worst terrorism.
She urged the United Nations (UN) bodies to take note of the sorry plight of the Kashmiris and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front Leader (JKLF) leader Yasin Malik and play their role in the release of the Kashmiri leader. She said she was in touch with the world bodies, including the UNHCR, Amnesty International, and would soon write to all world forums in this regard.
Mushaal, who broke down during the press conference, also said she would immediately apply for the Indian visa to go and meet her ailing husband whatever be the consequences.
She said Indian had treated Yasin Malik's family inhumanly during her last Indian visit.
Yasin Malik's daughter Razia Sultana, speaking briefly, demanded of the Indian Occupied Forces to release her father.
LPC President Arshad Ansari urged the government to raise voice for the release of Hurriyat Leader Yasin Malik as per aspirations of his wife Mushaal Mullick.
