MWMC Outsourcing 10 UCs To Improve Cleanliness

MULTAN, Sept 23 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2018 ) ::Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) is going to outsource 10 union councils (UCs) in the first phase to improve cleanliness conditions in the city.
MWMC Manager Operations Usman Khursheed told APP here on Sunday that the company board of directors had given approval for outsourcing 10 UCs as pilot project.
He said that the first 10 out of 68 urban UCs would be outsourced while the staff and machinery of the UCs would be shifted to remaining UCs of the city.
He said that cleanliness contract would be given for one-year period and the contractor would be responsible for collection of waste from houses and streets.
The contractor would bring the waste to company's transfer stations and the company machinery would dispose of the waste at its landfill site.
